By downloading, accessing, or using the WavBoost application or website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. Your continued use of any voice recording, cloning, or dubbing feature constitutes additional confirmation of your acceptance of all terms in Sections 3–6 and 14–18.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, including but not limited to laws governing consent, biometric data, intellectual property, defamation, and AI-generated synthetic media. You may not upload or process content that violates the rights of others, contains illegal material, or interferes with the operation of the Service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the Service.
You retain ownership of any audio or video files you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant WavBoost a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process it solely for the purpose of delivering the Service. You are solely responsible for all content you upload. While WavBoost is under no obligation to monitor or review uploaded content, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion and using automated systems, to monitor, review, flag, block, or remove any content in order to ensure compliance with these Terms, protect the safety of the Service, or comply with legal obligations.
The Service includes features that allow you to record a voice, generate a synthetic clone of that voice, and dub audio or video content into one or more languages using that cloned voice (collectively, "Voice AI Features").
You represent, warrant, and irrevocably confirm — each time you use Voice AI Features — that:
(a) Own voice: If the voice being recorded or cloned is your own, you are the sole owner of that voice and have full authority to grant WavBoost the license described herein.
(b) Third-party voice: If the voice belongs to any other individual (including but not limited to a professional voice actor, public figure, colleague, or family member), you have obtained that individual's explicit, informed, and freely given written consent prior to uploading, processing, or publishing any recording or clone of their voice. You must retain proof of this consent and provide it to WavBoost upon request.
(c) Commercial use: If any cloned voice output will be used for commercial purposes (advertising, monetised content, paid media, etc.), you have secured all additional consents and clearances required under applicable law, including any compensation obligations owed to the voice owner.
(d) Minors: You will not record, clone, or process the voice of anyone under the age of 18 without the additional written consent of a parent or legal guardian, and only for lawful, non-harmful purposes.
WavBoost bears no obligation to verify consent before processing. All legal and ethical responsibility for obtaining, documenting, and honouring consent rests exclusively with you.
Depending on your jurisdiction, a voice recording or voice print may constitute biometric data or sensitive personal information under applicable privacy laws (including but not limited to BIPA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, Quebec Law 25, and similar statutes). You acknowledge that:
(a) You are solely responsible for ensuring your collection, use, and sharing of any biometric voice data complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction and in the jurisdiction of any data subject whose voice you upload.
(b) WavBoost processes voice data only as a data processor acting on your instructions. You are the data controller for all third-party voice data you upload.
(c) Uploaded files and any derived voice models or outputs are automatically and permanently deleted from WavBoost's systems after 24 hours. You are responsible for downloading your outputs within that window.
In addition to all other prohibited conduct in these Terms, you expressly agree not to use Voice AI Features to:
(a) Impersonate, defame, harass, or harm any real individual — living or deceased — without their express written consent, including public figures, celebrities, politicians, or executives;
(b) Create deepfakes, non-consensual synthetic media, or any audio or video designed to mislead a reasonable listener into believing a real person said or did something they did not;
(c) Commit or facilitate fraud, scams, social engineering, identity theft, phishing, or any financial crime using a cloned voice;
(d) Bypass voice-based authentication systems (e.g., bank phone lines, government services) without authorisation;
(e) Generate or distribute disinformation, political propaganda, or electoral interference content;
(f) Produce content that sexualises, exploits, or harms minors in any way;
(g) Clone or reproduce the voice of any professional voice actor, narrator, or performer in a manner that violates their contractual rights, union agreements, or right of publicity;
(h) Circumvent, disable, or exploit any safety, watermarking, or detection mechanism in the Service.
Violation of this section may result in immediate and permanent account termination, forfeiture of any unused credits without refund, and mandatory reporting to law enforcement where required by law.
You may not upload content that is sexually explicit or pornographic, depicts minors in any harmful or sexual context, promotes violence, hate, or terrorism, or infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party. Violation of this section may result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities where required by law.
Voice clones and dubbed outputs produced by the Service are generated by artificial intelligence and may be imperfect, unpredictable, or unsuitable for your intended purpose. WavBoost makes no guarantee that any cloned voice will accurately reproduce the source voice, that dubbed translations will be linguistically accurate, or that outputs will be free of artefacts, errors, or unintended content.
You are solely responsible for reviewing all outputs before publication or distribution. Publishing AI-generated voice content without appropriate disclosure may violate applicable laws in your jurisdiction; compliance is entirely your responsibility.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. All purchases made through the Service are final and non-refundable, except where required by law. Credit packs and processing minutes are one-time purchases and may not be exchanged or transferred.
All software, designs, trademarks, and content associated with WavBoost are the exclusive property of WavBoost or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or modify any part of the Service without prior written consent.
You acknowledge that WavBoost does not claim ownership of AI-generated voice outputs, but also makes no representation that such outputs are free of third-party intellectual property claims. You bear sole responsibility for clearing any rights required to use, publish, or monetise voice outputs.
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature — including Voice AI Features — at any time without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WavBoost and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
(a) damages arising from unauthorised voice cloning, impersonation, defamation, or fraud carried out using outputs generated through the Service;
(b) claims brought by third parties whose voices were cloned or whose likeness was reproduced without their consent;
(c) regulatory fines, penalties, or enforcement actions resulting from your non-compliance with biometric data laws, synthetic media disclosure requirements, or any other applicable regulations;
(d) loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of the Service or any AI-generated output.
WavBoost's total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of USD $50 or the amount you paid WavBoost in the 30 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Uploaded files and outputs are automatically deleted after 24 hours. WavBoost shall not be responsible for any errors, delays, or file corruption resulting from your use of the Service.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WavBoost and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
(a) your use or misuse of Voice AI Features, including any voice cloning or dubbing you initiate;
(b) your failure to obtain required consents from any individual whose voice you record or clone;
(c) any allegation by a third party that content you produced using the Service infringes their intellectual property rights, violates their right of publicity or privacy, or constitutes defamation, fraud, harassment, or any other unlawful act;
(d) your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or these Terms;
(e) any regulatory investigation, fine, or enforcement action triggered by your use of the Service.
Each time you use the Service, and in particular each time you use Voice AI Features, you represent and warrant that:
(a) you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
(b) all information you provide is truthful, accurate, and complete;
(c) your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party;
(d) you have not been previously banned or suspended from the Service.
If you believe another user is misusing Voice AI Features — including creating non-consensual voice clones or synthetic media — please report it immediately to contact@wavboost.com. WavBoost reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to investigate and act on such reports.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, all licences granted to you cease immediately, and any unused credits or processing minutes are forfeited without refund. Sections 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, and 17 survive termination.
These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against WavBoost.
Audio and video processing, including AI voice cloning and dubbing, involves complex algorithms and may produce variable, unexpected, or imperfect results. WavBoost makes no guarantees about output quality, accuracy, linguistic correctness, voice fidelity, or compatibility with any third-party platform. Use of outputs is entirely at your own risk.
